The third annual Carlingford 10k charity run/walk in memory of David McShane will take place this Saturday at 3pm.
All proceeds from the event go towards PIPS, SOSAD and the Samaritans. Registration is €15 per person or €5 per child.

This year’s Linn Duachaill Annagassan Viking 10k will take place this year on August 10th.
The race will get underway at 10am on the day, with registration from 10.45am. You can also register for the event at www.runireland.com
The race is for those aged 18 and over and costs €18. It will have an AAI permit also.

Kilkerley athlete Gary O’Hanlon was celebrating another race win on Friday night after coming home first in the 12.5km Cooley Coast Run.
This latest success for the Clonliffe Harriers AC runner comes just weeks after wins in the Limerick and Kildare Marathons, as well as the Patsy Kelly 5k in Dundalk.
Gary won the race in a time of 00:40:37 – almost two minutes ahead of Brian McCloskey of North East Runners, who was also runner-up in the previous week’s Dundalk 10k Run.
Meanwhile, the 10k race was won by Stephen Muholland in a time of 00:34:44, just 26 seconds ahead of runner-up Niall Gorham.

Dunleer AC’s Darragh Greene claimed yesterday’s Mint Dundalk 10k run with a time of 00:33:26, pipping Brian McCluskey of North East Runners by seven seconds.
The pair were a full two minutes ahead of third place finisher, Paul Smith, who had a time of 00:35:33.
Donna Evans was the first female home in 00:38:07, followed by Susan McDonnell and Louise Kierans.
In total 469 runners took part in the event, which raised money for the Irish Cancer Society.
Meanwhile, Kilkerley man Gary O’Hanlon – who had won the half marathon in Dundalk for the two years previously – followed up his Limerick Marathon success from a week ago by clinching the Kildare Marathon in a time of 2 hours 29 minutes – four minutes faster than his run a week earlier.
