Local Gathering History project shortlisted for Net Visionary award

The Local Gathering History Project website has been nominated for an IIA Net Visionary Award.

The website, which has digitally recorded stories from Irish people returning to Louth as part of the Gathering celebrations, has been shortlisted for the “You Did Good” – Best Use of the Internet for Social Good category, which is sponsored by Electric Ireland.

It is up against the likes of SpunOut.ie, uSwitch.ie, FoneSense.com and consumerclassroom.eu.

The Gathering History Project is the brainchild of Harry Lee and Jason McGee and so far has featured interviews with the likes of Tom Conway, Paddy Malone, Delores Gover, Jim Corr (interview above) and many more.

You can visit the Gathering History Project at www.gatheringhistory.com while you can vote for them at the bottom of the page over on netvisionary.ie

The awards will be presented on September 27th in the Smock Alley Banquet Hall in Temple Bar in Dublin 8.
